Take a quick 3-minute stroll to our dock to kayak, swim or paddleboard. Back at the cabin, unwind in the backyard w/ a firepit & grill. Head inside to watch a movie on the Smart TV or play card games. When it’s time to sleep, there’s a full bed, plus a pull-down sofa in the living room that’s just right for 1 or 2 kids.

We had an incredible stay at the Mandon Retreat! The space was impeccably clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. Our host was communicative about the check-in process, plus they left a welcome note with fresh flowers. We thought this was a special touch and it was much appreciated.
We had a lovely trip and enjoyed this cozy home. The Mandon Retreat is highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish place to stay in the Detroit area.

About this space

Guest access

We have two properties on our large lot. Guests will have access to the entire log cabin. Guests will have private access to the front porch. You will have your own private yard area and firepit separate from the green cabin. The lake access point and shed with the water gear is shared with the green cabin guest. A guest may or may not be booked in the green cabin during your stay.

Other things to note

PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING:

Our cabin is located in a very sandy area. The road, walk to lake and general yard is mostly sand. There are also hills. For this reason, our cabin is not handicap accessible.

We have two cabins on our property. Someone may be booked in the cabin next door during your stay. The two cabins are spaced out enough to where it feels like a typical neighbor. The shed housing the kayaks, paddleboard & outdoor gear is on the green cabin property but is shared with the log cabin next door. You may see the neighboring guest float into the backyard to grab outdoor gear.

Our home is a 2-3 minute walk from Round Lake and our dock/lake access point.

There is one A/C window unit in the cabin. It is located in the living room. During the colder months, there are two electric wall heaters. One is in the living room and the other is in the bedroom.

We do not have a washer and dryer in the home.
